Katselas Theater Company presents Shem Bitterman’s compelling thriller "A Death in Colombia." In Bogota the capital city of Colombia anthropologist Lisa Fine awaits the return of her husband John from the jungles of the Amazon where he is waging a fight on behalf of the indigenous Indians. As night falls she has a surprise visit from Roger an old friend of John’s from Harvard. Roger is a highly paid consultant for an American oil company. During a long intimate evening secrets are revealed and difficult choices must be made.

Boston Classical Orchestra launches its 32nd season with a "best of the classics" program at the historic Faneuil Hall. Music Director Steven Lipsitt begins with Rossini’s irrepressible "Barber of Seville" overture followed by Saint-Sans’ melodious Cello Concerto and Beethoven’s powerful "Eroica" Symphony. Mary Ann Nichols will talk about the music and the composers who wrote it one hour before each performance. The Saint-Sans concerto features cello virtuoso Allison Eldredge. Eldredge is a recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant and has performed as a soloist with several world-class orchestras. She is on the faculty of the New England Conservatory of Music.
